 AMERICAS FIRST SOCIALIST COMMUNITY....IT WASN'T CALLED "SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM" back then it was called THE HARMONY SOCIETY and was "Communistic" Utopian society that predated Marx and Engels Communism by 45 years and Harmony's followers were called Rappites or Owenites and was founded by Georg Rapp (see below) in 1803 in Penn. and Robert Owen (see below) moved it to "New Harmony" in Indiana in 1814 & left in1824 moving back to Penn. where it disbanded in about 1827 when the so called "Perfect Model of "Utopian Socialism" making the SAME CLAIMS of todays Marxism/Socialism failed Miserably Just like all Socialist/Marxist/Communist philosophies have done
